Stressbreaker Adventure Sailing Charters

S/Y Mozart

Austrian yachts man Wolfgang himself was named after the great composer, he called his first yacht Amadeus so his second, his new ultimate dream catamaran, could really only have one name: Mozart.

Mozart was designed by the renowned Australian Naval Architect Tim Mumby and built according to Australian Survey rules at Monty’s Marina shipyard in Brisbane, Australia.

The design brief was for a large good looking comfortable charter catamaran, built in aluminium for lightweight and strength, four spacious double guest cabins with en-suite showers and toilets, separate crew quarters, a large, well shaded cockpit and plenty of uncluttered space on deck. Oh yes, and by the way, she had to be FAST, really fast, 10 kts cruising speed and 15kts+ peak speed under sail would be nice.

When Mozart was launched in June 2002 the results exceeded the expectations. Her lines are breathtakingly beautiful, her motion soft and sea- kindly and what about her speed? Well, on the delivery trip from Brisbane to Phuket effortless 250 mile day runs were the norm and the best run was only just under 325 miles!

This exciting 50 ft yacht is now available for charter in Thailand and Burma. Up to eight guests have a choice of four double cabins , there is an additional fresh water shower on deck. Mozart has a large capacity water maker, so fresh water usage is no issue. Cabins are well ventilated with opening hatches and in addition there are electric fans.

You can of course sleep on deck under the stars if you wish; the 30 sqm of bow netting is probably the largest bed you’ve ever slept in! Wolfgang and his crew are dedicated to giving you a holiday of a lifetime.

Having sailed, dived and very successfully chartered in Thailand and Burma for some eight years he knows the area like the back of his hand and he will be able to show you, besides the well known famous places, some “secret” spots, unspoilt, usually inaccessible for “normal” mono hulled yachts and stunningly beautiful.

Mozart’s’ speed means you can cover a lot of ground within a short time. This way cruising grounds further away come within your reach, even during shorter charters. You are of course, if you want, welcome to take the helm and experience the exhilarating thrill of steering a large cat at speed.

Mozart carries “sit on top” kayaks, which are essential for exploring the many sea caves, creeks and mangrove channels, fishing equipment, snorkelling gear and on request scuba diving can be arranged for. There is a hifi CD player with a large selection of music (yes, lots of Mozart CD’s), satellite radio receiver, on board cell phone and Internet facility as well as TV and video.

For the more simple pleasures in life, lay down in the netting, sip your gin- tonic, watch the sun go down and enjoy the soft tones of "Eine Kleine Nacht Musik"!
